The tracks will remain closed from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, as confirmed by an official update from RTA on the social media platform X. The much-anticipated race will start at 1:30 PM and continue for four hours, taking place within the scenic Al Marmoom Conservation Reserve.

The Desert Race promises to challenge cyclists with its tough course, which winds through sandy dunes and uneven trails, offering participants a true test of endurance and skill.

This event marks the third stage of the championship and features two race categories: Sarouq Al Hadid, covering a distance of 52 kilometers, and Al Ashoosh, with a 57-kilometer route. Cyclists will also experience a timed sprint section at Areeqib Brashi, adding an extra layer of excitement to the competition.

The organizers have announced that the top 10 finishers in each category will be rewarded with cash prizes. In total, 44 financial awards will be distributed among the winners. Additionally, sprint challenge champions will be recognized for their performance. Special recognition will be given to six Emirati riders and six residents. The residents' group will be divided into age categories, with three winners under the age of 40 and three winners over 40.

The Desert Race is expected to draw cycling enthusiasts from across the UAE, making it a significant event in the local sports calendar. RTA has urged the public to plan their travel accordingly due to the track closures and to support the participants in this exciting race through the desert landscape.
