Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, the seventh edition of Dubai Games 2026 concluded with a spectacular finale, crowning champions across four competitive categories.
The championship, now firmly established as a major global sporting event, witnessed intense competition, strategic teamwork, and high-calibre participation from more than 1,600 athletes representing 56 cities worldwide.
Congratulating the winners, Sheikh Hamdan praised their competitive spirit and teamwork, noting that Dubai Games has evolved into one of the most anticipated global team challenge events. He emphasised that the championship reflects Dubai’s ambition, innovation, and commitment to fostering excellence across all sectors.
Intense Competition Across Four Categories
This year’s edition featured four key categories:
Each category tested participants through innovative obstacle courses designed to challenge strength, strategy, endurance, and team coordination.
Battle of the Juniors: Future Champions Shine
The final day began with the Battle of the Juniors, where young athletes competed on a specially scaled obstacle course. Teams faced seven demanding obstacles requiring speed, precision, and collaboration.
Team OCR Empire secured first place, followed by Team Goldstoso Grapplers in second, while Team Woodtopia claimed third. The junior category underscored the Games’ commitment to shaping future champions and instilling discipline and teamwork at an early age.
Challenging Finale Course Tests Strategy and Strength
Teams that advanced to the final rounds faced a newly designed six-obstacle course to be completed within 45 minutes. The course included a vehicle pull, water challenges, and synchronised wall climbing.
The challenge highlighted that success at Dubai Games goes beyond physical power — it demands focus, coordination, planning, and smart decision-making under pressure.
Battle of the Government: Ajman Leads
In the Battle of the Government – Men’s category, Ajman Government claimed first place, followed by Dubai Police in second and the Department of Digital Ajman in third.
In the Government – Women’s category, the Ministry of Education secured first place, with Dubai Health finishing second and Dubai Police taking third.
Battle of the Community: F3 Triumphs
The Battle of the Community saw fierce competition, with Team F3 emerging as champions. Team NAS secured second place, while Ajman Stud finished third.
The category reflected Dubai Games’ broader objective of encouraging active lifestyles and strengthening community engagement through sport.
Battle of the Cities: Global Participation Expands
Marking the largest international participation to date, the Battle of the Cities category attracted teams from across the globe.
Czarny Dunajec from Poland secured first place. Montreal, Canada finished second, while Moscow, Russia claimed third.
The growing international representation highlights Dubai Games’ rising global appeal and its reputation as one of the world’s leading team challenge competitions.
Clear Principles and Strategic Partnerships
The Dubai Games 2026 Organising Committee stated that the championship continues to set new standards by focusing on fair competition, structured advancement stages, and a world-class competitive experience.
Held from 12 to 15 February, the event was supported by key partners including DP World as Official Partner. Diamond Partners included DAMAC Group, Beyond Developments, and Emirates Petroleum Company (Emarat). The Dubai Sports Council served as Strategic Partner, with additional support from DEWA, Unilabs Middle East, Al Gurg Group, and several major sponsors.
Reinforcing Dubai’s Global Sporting Leadership
Dubai Games 2026 once again reinforced Dubai’s position as a global hub for sporting excellence and large-scale international events. By combining innovation, inclusivity, and high standards of competition, the championship continues to embody Dubai’s vision for leadership, ambition, and sustainable sporting growth on the global stage.
