Abu Dhabi BAPS Hindu Temple to Celebrate First Anniversary

Abu Dhabi The BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi will celebrate its first anniversary on Sunday, February 11, 2025. This is the first traditional Hindu stone temple in the area. The beautiful temple, located in Abu Mureikhah, was opened on February 14, 2024. The opening ceremony was led by Mahant Swami Maharaj, the head of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, with support from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The temple has now become a special place for spiritual growth, peace, and unity. To celebrate its first year, the temple will hold many exciting events. The main celebration will be on Sunday, February 11, 2025, with a special ritual called ‘Patotsav.’ This ritual will involve prayers for all seven deities in the temple. Mahant Swami Maharaj will bless the ceremony, and it will be led by Brahmaviharidas Swami, the temple's leader. The ceremony will last for two hours.

There will also be cultural performances from 5 pm to 8 pm on the same day. These performances will include devotional songs, dance, and stories. They will give people a chance to learn more about Hindu culture and traditions in a fun and beautiful way.

The celebrations will continue with a special ‘Day of Gratitude’ ceremony on February 16, 2025. From 5 pm to 7 pm, the temple will honor the vision and leadership that helped make this amazing temple a reality. The ceremony will celebrate the hard work and leadership of all those who made this temple possible.
