The buildup includes two aircraft carrier strike groups, fighter jets like F-35s and F/A-18s, refueling tankers, drones, and enhanced missile defenses, positioning the US to target Iran’s nuclear sites, missile systems, and military facilities. About 30,000 to 40,000 US troops are stationed across the region.

Despite this military readiness, diplomatic talks continue. Indirect negotiations in Geneva earlier this week allowed Iran to propose further measures, though major differences remain unresolved.
