Prince Andrew Arrested Over Misconduct in Public Office

Thames Valley Police have arrested Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, on Thursday on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The arrest comes after the release of millions of documents connected to the U.S. investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The police are investigating reports that Mountbatten-Windsor sent trade reports to Epstein in 2010. While U.K. law prevents naming suspects, police confirmed that a man in his 60s was arrested. Mountbatten-Windsor is 66.

A Thames Valley Police statement said, “Following a thorough assessment, we have now opened an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office. We understand the significant public interest in this case, and we will provide updates at the appropriate time.”

Mountbatten-Windsor has denied any wrongdoing regarding his relationship with Epstein. Last year, King Charles III removed Andrew’s royal titles, including the title of prince, to protect the monarchy from ongoing controversy surrounding his ties to Epstein.
