The theme of this year's event is "Towards Longevity: Redefining Health and Well-being." The event will bring together people from around the world to work together, share ideas, and invest in new solutions that improve health and well-being.
This year, over 15,000 people are expected to attend, and 325 companies will showcase their work. The event will provide a space for leaders, researchers, and investors to share ideas, form new partnerships, and find ways to solve big problems in healthcare. One of the key parts of the event is the Forum, where leaders will discuss how to work together for a positive change in health around the world.
The event will cover four important topics: Health Longevity & Personalised Medicine, Health System Resilience & Sustainability, Digital Health & Technology, and Investment in Health & Life Sciences. These topics will focus on the future of medicine, building strong health systems, using technology to improve care, and driving innovation in healthcare and life sciences.
Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of DoH, said, "Abu Dhabi Global Health Week shows our commitment to making a real difference in global healthcare. We want to change the future of health by encouraging teamwork, innovation, and investment."
ADGHW will also focus on moving from just treating illnesses to helping prevent them. The event will highlight new technology and digital health tools that can improve people's health and quality of life. People attending will see new ideas, learn more, and connect with others in the healthcare industry.
The event will also include the ADGHW Innovation Awards, which will recognize people and companies who have created new ideas to improve healthcare. These awards will honor those who have found new ways to improve patient care, make healthcare more accessible, and make the system more efficient.
At the first ADGHW event last year, 18 agreements and partnerships were made, and over 11,500 people from 97 countries attended. The Ma’an Health & Life Sciences Research Innovation Fund was also set up, giving over AED 19 million to 11 new research projects. Partners like Etihad, Abu Dhabi Ports, Abu Dhabi Airports, and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office have helped make Abu Dhabi a central hub for life sciences in the region.
