The project aims to improve the country's transport system and help make the UAE a leader in modern transportation. The train will also help reduce pollution and contribute to the UAE’s goal of reaching Net Zero by 2050.
The project will bring many benefits, such as better travel options for citizens, residents, and tourists. It will also connect the two cities in a way that will help businesses grow and create more investment opportunities. This project will also help improve the UAE’s economy.
His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said the train project fits into the UAE’s plan to improve the country’s infrastructure and make travel services better. The project is expected to contribute AED 145 billion to the UAE's economy over the next 50 years.
At the ceremony, a Cooperation Charter was signed by officials from Abu Dhabi and Dubai, showing their teamwork to improve the train project.
In addition to the high-speed train, the first four passenger rail stations were also announced in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah. These stations will provide easy access to train services and connect with metro and bus routes.
