The UAE took part in the 36th meeting of the Arab Counter-Terrorism Experts Group today, which was held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo. Along with the meeting, there was a workshop focused on how to stop terrorist groups from using modern technologies and electronic games to recruit children.

Dr. Maha Bakhit, the UAE Ambassador and Director of the Legal Affairs Department, who also leads the Technical Secretariat of the Arab Counter-Terrorism Experts Group, shared that the meeting reviewed the progress made on the recommendations from the previous 35th session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council in Tunis. The experts discussed the importance of strengthening cooperation with the United Nations and other international and regional organizations that work on counter-terrorism.
Dr. Bakhit also highlighted that the discussions covered the steps taken by Arab countries to prevent terrorists from using drones in their attacks. The meeting emphasized how the Arab nations are working together to face new and growing security challenges in the region.
