The Emergencies, Crisis, and Disasters Management Centre – Abu Dhabi (ADCMC) has said that 89 government offices and companies in Abu Dhabi now follow the National Standard for Business Continuity. This means they are ready to continue important services even during emergencies. The centre checked these offices and companies in two rounds to see how well they are prepared for crises. Since 2021, they have checked 90 government offices and three private companies. A team from ADCMC and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority did the inspection.

Shaikha Khamis Al Azeezi, who is in charge of Business Continuity and Alternative Services at ADCMC, said that these checks are very important. She said they help Abu Dhabi stay ready for emergencies and keep people safe. The Abu Dhabi government wants to make sure that essential services like water, electricity, and healthcare do not stop during a crisis. The centre also works closely with government and private companies to help them understand how to prepare for emergencies. Every year, they organize training and workshops to teach employees about handling difficult situations.
ADCMC has also worked with important partners to make emergency response better. They have checked how well data recovery systems are working to protect important information. They have studied how much people know about disaster management. They have also made guides on how to set up backup power systems and created emergency plans for hospitals to make sure patients get continuous care.
To make Abu Dhabi even more prepared, ADCMC has introduced a system called AE/SCNS/NCEMA 7000:2021 Standard. This system helps different sectors manage crises in an organized way. It makes sure that even if something unexpected happens, important services in Abu Dhabi will keep running. The centre is also helping more organizations use these measures, especially in healthcare.
ADCMC is also working with new organizations to give them advice and support so they can handle emergencies better. The centre is making changes based on local needs and new technology. Their goal is to make Abu Dhabi one of the best places in the world for handling emergencies and disasters. These efforts will make sure that services in the city do not stop and that people remain safe at all times.
