UAE Airlines Restart Flights, Passengers Advised to Check Updates

Flight services in the UAE have started again at major airports like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah as regional airspace has partially reopened. However, airlines have warned passengers that schedules are still changing, so travelers must check updates before going to the airport. Passengers are strongly advised to travel only after receiving confirmation from their airline to avoid any problems.

Airlines such as Emirates, Etihad Airways, flydubai, and Air Arabia have restarted operations with limited flights and are offering flexible options to passengers affected by earlier disruptions. These include free rebooking, refunds, or travel vouchers depending on the airline policy. Etihad Airways is operating selected flights from Abu Dhabi and has allowed passengers with bookings between February 28 and March 31, 2026, to change their travel dates without extra charges.

Emirates has also resumed flights from Dubai but on a reduced schedule. The airline has asked passengers, especially those with connecting flights, not to travel until their updated booking is confirmed. Due to heavy customer requests, passengers are encouraged to manage bookings online. Similarly, flydubai has restarted flights with limited services and is allowing passengers to rebook within 30 days or request a full refund. Air Arabia has resumed some routes from Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah, including flights to several Indian cities.

Authorities have clearly stated that passengers should not come to the airport without confirmed tickets, as last-minute changes are still possible. Travelers should regularly check airline websites or mobile apps for the latest updates.

In a major relief step, the UAE government has allowed residents stuck abroad with expired visas after February 28, 2026, to return without a re-entry permit until March 31, 2026. This decision has helped many people who were unable to travel earlier due to disruptions.

Even though flight operations are slowly returning to normal, safety and proper planning remain the top priority. Passengers are advised to stay updated and follow airline instructions carefully to avoid any inconvenience during their journey.
