The Department of Finance in Ajman has proudly announced the successful completion of 1,115 training hours across a variety of developmental fields during the first half of 2024. This accomplishment underscores the department's unwavering commitment to enhancing and expanding the skills and capabilities of its human capital, aligning with the broader goals of Ajman Vision 2030 and the UAE Centennial 2071.
In pursuit of its strategic objectives under the Future Skills and Talent Development initiative, the department rolled out 15 targeted training programs within the first six months of the year. These programs spanned several key areas, including specialized financial courses, financial diplomas, management and leadership training, excellence and creativity workshops, human resources development, executive secretarial skills, public relations, and customer service enhancement.
Marwan Al Ali, Director of the Department of Finance, emphasized the importance of these initiatives, stating, "We firmly believe that the effectiveness and development of our human resources are critical to fostering a culture of creativity and excellence. This, in turn, is essential for achieving inclusive and sustainable development across our society. As the global nature of work continues to evolve rapidly, our commitment remains steadfast in investing in our young talent through comprehensive training programs. These initiatives are designed to equip our workforce with the skills necessary to meet future challenges and opportunities."
Walid Abdullah Al-Zarooni, Support Services Manager at the Department, highlighted the meticulous planning and execution behind the department's annual training schedule. He noted that the development programs are carefully crafted to align with best practices and international standards, ensuring that the department’s workforce remains competitive and forward-thinking.
Al-Zarooni further pointed out that the department successfully achieved 100 percent completion of its talent development plans for the first half of the year, a testament to the department's dedication to its workforce. Additionally, he shared that 85 percent of staff in supervisory roles participated in these training programs, while 63 percent of employees in specialized and executive positions also engaged in these developmental opportunities.
This focus on continuous learning and development is a key pillar of the department's strategy, reflecting its commitment to building a resilient, skilled, and future-ready workforce. As the department continues to implement its training initiatives, it remains dedicated to contributing to the broader objectives of Ajman Vision 2030 and the UAE Centennial 2071, ensuring that the emirate remains a leader in innovation and excellence.
