Three large plots of land in Downtown Dubai were sold recently for a total of AED 715 million, bringing big profits for the sellers. The deals were done in just five days last month, showing how much land prices have gone up in this popular area. As per data from DXBinteract, the sellers made profits of AED 225 million, AED 290 million, and AED 200 million from the sales.
The first plot, which is 51,439 square feet, was bought 18 months ago for AED 175 million. It was sold again for AED 400 million, making a profit of AED 225 million. Its value increased by 129%.

The second plot, which is 36,345 square feet, was bought in April 2017 for AED 95 million. It was sold for AED 385 million, giving the seller a profit of AED 290 million. Its value grew by 305%.
The third plot, which is 71,169 square feet, was bought in May 2021 for AED 200 million. It was sold for AED 400 million, doubling its value and making a profit of AED 200 million.
These sales show how Downtown Dubai is becoming more valuable because of its luxury homes, offices, and leisure spots. Firas Al Msaddi, CEO of fäm Properties, said the deals show that Dubai is now a top choice for investors.
“These sales show how land prices are rising in Dubai’s main areas. Downtown Dubai has a mix of fancy homes, business spaces, and fun places, which makes it a top pick for investors from around the world,” Al Msaddi said.
These land sales come at a time when Dubai’s real estate market is growing quickly. In 2024, the city had 180,900 property deals worth AED 522.1 billion. Dubai’s resale market made around AED 60 billion in profits, with the secondary market alone making AED 59.7 billion. This was 34% higher than in 2023 and 1,300% higher than five years ago.
Al Msaddi said this growth shows that investors trust Dubai’s future. He praised the Dubai Land Department and Dubai Government for making strong rules, adding digital tools for transparency, and planning for long-term development.
“These steps have made Dubai’s property market safe and clear. Investors now trust the market and work with property experts to make the most of Dubai’s growth,” he added.
With Downtown Dubai’s rising land prices and growing demand, experts believe it will stay a top choice for both local and international buyers.
