The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council meets with the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Iraq

On February 6th in Doha, His Excellency Mr. Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, held a meeting with His Excellency Dr. Khaled Shawani, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Iraq. The meeting took place on the sidelines of His Excellency's participation in the International Conference on Food Justice from a human rights perspective: reality challenges and future bets.

The discussions covered various topics, with a primary focus on the robust relations between the Gulf countries and Iraq. Emphasis was placed on the ongoing cooperation between the two sides, aimed at mutual benefits in alignment with common interests.

During the meeting, the Secretary-General reiterated the call from Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC countries, for the enhancement of cooperation with brotherly Iraq across all domains. He underscored the importance of supporting Iraq in safeguarding the integrity and sovereignty of its lands, maintaining its Arab-Islamic identity, preserving its social fabric, and upholding national unity.
