Abu Dhabi: In coordination with “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3” and the Emirates Red Crescent, the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) of the Kingdom of Bahrain has sent an urgent 100-tonne humanitarian aid shipment to the Gaza Strip ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
The aid was transported through Al-Arish Airport in Egypt and is being prepared for entry into Gaza through the Rafah Border Crossing.
The humanitarian initiative comes under the directives of His Majesty Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain and Honorary President of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation. It is being carried out under the guidance of Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
The 100-tonne relief shipment includes essential supplies such as hygiene kits for women and children, basic food items, medicines, and critical medical supplies. The support aims to ease the suffering of people in Gaza, who are facing severe humanitarian conditions.
Eng. Ibrahim Dalhan Al Doseri, Acting Secretary-General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, said the urgent relief effort reflects Bahrain’s strong humanitarian commitment to supporting the Palestinian people. He stated that the initiative highlights the Kingdom’s continued support for just causes, especially the Palestinian cause.
Al Doseri added that sending the aid during Ramadan carries deep humanitarian meaning and strengthens the values of solidarity and compassion that Bahrain is known for. He confirmed that the Foundation will continue its efforts to provide assistance and help improve the difficult living conditions in Gaza.
