iCAUR V27 Makes Global Debut With UAE Launch

Hybrid and electric vehicle manufacturer iCAUR has officially entered the UAE market, unveiling its flagship V27 SUV in a global debut event held in Dubai. The launch positions the UAE as a strategic hub for the brand’s international expansion.

The event, hosted at the Park Hyatt Dubai, was attended by senior executives, industry stakeholders, VIP guests and members of the media. The evening highlighted the brand’s design philosophy and technological focus, with guests given an in-depth look at the engineering and development process behind the V27.

The V27, described as a mid-to-large all-round hybrid SUV, marks iCAUR’s first global release. The model had previously appeared at major international automotive exhibitions, drawing attention ahead of its official market introduction. With the UAE chosen as the launch venue, the company signalled the region’s importance in its broader growth strategy.

Tim Zhang, General Manager of Chery International Middle East, said the decision to debut the vehicle in the UAE reflects the company’s commitment to consumers in the region. He noted that the brand aims to cater to “young and young-at-heart” customers by combining premium experiences with advanced new-energy technology.

iCAUR positions the V27 as a modern reinterpretation of the classic boxy SUV, blending traditional design cues with contemporary electric and hybrid systems. Measuring more than five metres in length, the vehicle features a bold, squared silhouette, round headlamps and refined surface detailing intended to balance rugged aesthetics with a technological identity.

Inside, the V27 introduces what the company calls a “Stellar Cockpit” concept. The cabin includes a dual panoramic sun screen designed to block 99.9% of ultraviolet rays and a floating ceiling design aimed at enhancing spatial perception. With a 2,900mm wheelbase, the SUV offers a five-seat configuration focused on interior space and passenger comfort.

Under the hood, the V27 is equipped with a Golden REEV (Range-Extended Electric Vehicle) system. The vehicle offers over 150 kilometres of pure electric driving range and a combined range exceeding 995 kilometres. Unlike conventional plug-in hybrids, the REEV system operates with electric motors driving the wheels at all times, while the petrol engine functions solely as a generator to recharge the battery when needed. This configuration is intended to deliver smooth acceleration, instant torque and improved energy efficiency across city and long-distance driving conditions.

Prior to launch, iCAUR conducted extensive testing across multiple global markets. According to the company, more than 1,000 test vehicles were deployed worldwide, completing over 50 testing programmes and accumulating more than one million kilometres in durability trials. Testing included extreme heat conditions in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, severe cold climates and high-speed intercity routes to ensure reliability under diverse conditions.

The V27 also incorporates 39 pre-installed ecosystem ports, allowing for a range of optional accessories and customisation features. The company says this approach is part of a broader lifestyle-oriented ecosystem strategy designed to enhance user experience.

In the UAE, iCAUR has established an initial retail footprint that includes a flagship showroom at Oasis Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, as well as facilities in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. These locations are expected to serve as the foundation for further expansion across all seven emirates. The brand has also indicated plans to focus on after-sales service and community-building initiatives for owners.

Additionally, AiMOGA Robots will be displayed alongside the V27 in showrooms, offering customers an interactive introduction to the brand’s technology-driven ecosystem.

Following its global debut in Dubai, the iCAUR V27 is scheduled to roll out in additional markets throughout the year as the company expands its international presence in the hybrid and electric SUV segment.
