Saudi Arabia Announces 50% Traffic Fine Discount for Eid Al Fitr

Saudi Arabia has announced a 50% discount on fines for traffic violations. This reduction in payable amounts is applicable to individuals who incurred fines before April 18, 2024.

Those eligible for the discount can apply it to fines accumulated over the span of six months or opt to utilize it for individual fine payments. However, to avail of this reduction, violators must ensure that all fines are settled within six months from the date of issuance. Additionally, they are required to refrain from committing further violations that may endanger public safety.

It's crucial to note that failing to pay fines within the specified timeframe will result in a 25% reduction being applied to each fine, as outlined in Article 75 of the Traffic Regulations. As a reminder, the Ministry of Interior emphasizes the importance of compliance with traffic rules to ensure road safety and urges all road users to avoid violations.

This initiative not only aims to incentivize timely payment of fines but also underscores the significance of responsible driving behavior. By offering this discount, Saudi Arabia seeks to encourage adherence to traffic regulations while promoting safer roads for all.
