Salman Khan's Sikandar teaser release delayed to Saturday after Manmohan Singh's passing

Salman Khan's new movie Sikandar was all set to release its teaser on December 27, which is also the actor’s 59th birthday. Fans were looking forward to seeing the first preview of this action-packed film, which is directed by AR Murugadoss. But the release of the teaser was postponed after the sad news about the passing of former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Teaser Release Postponed Out of Respect

On the morning of December 27, just hours before the teaser was supposed to be released at 11:07 am, the makers of Sikandar announced that they would be delaying the teaser. They posted a message on their official social media to explain the reason for the delay. The message said:

"In light of the passing of our esteemed former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Ji, we regret to announce that the release of the Sikandar teaser has been postponed to 28th December 11:07 AM. Our thoughts are with the nation during this time of mourning. Thank you for understanding. - #TeamSikandar."

The makers decided to delay the teaser to show respect for Manmohan Singh, who passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 92. He was the Prime Minister of India for 10 years and was known for his leadership and work to improve India’s economy.

What Is Sikandar About?

Before the delay, the makers of Sikandar had already shared a poster of Salman Khan in his character. The poster shows Salman dressed in a suit, holding a spear, and looking strong and ready for action. His face is only partially visible, adding some mystery. Fans were excited to see the teaser on Salman’s birthday, but now they will have to wait one more day. The teaser will now be released on December 28 at 11:07 AM.

The movie Sikandar also stars Rashmika Mandanna, who will act opposite Salman. The movie is expected to be full of action, and it will be released in theaters during the next Eid.
