The Wildlife Department officials carried out a major cleaning operation at Hisar Airport today. They removed nilgai (blue bulls) and other wild animals from the airport premises to ensure safe flight operations.
A group of 12 wildlife officials led the task, along with the help of municipal corporation workers from six districts. One of the officials said, “We caught three nilgai inside the airport area. These animals were safely shifted to the Beed forest in the district.”
The removal of these animals was done as part of preparations for the upcoming operations at Hisar Airport.

Meanwhile, the airport saw a successful trial flight today. A 70-seater aircraft landed from Delhi in the afternoon. When the plane arrived, it was welcomed with a water salute by fire engines.
The test flight was conducted by a pilot from Alliance Air Aviation Limited. The pilot took off from the airport and flew around the area before landing again. The aircraft stayed at the airport for two hours before returning to Delhi.
According to sources, five more aircraft are expected to arrive at Hisar Airport on April 13. This will be just a day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s planned visit. The flight schedule for five destinations will be finalised soon, and online ticket booking will begin shortly.
The Haryana Government has partnered with Alliance Air Aviation Limited. Under this agreement, the government will cover any ticket revenue losses during the first year of the airport’s operations.
