Dr. Khaled bin Abdullah Al-Abdulkader, the head of the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC), met with Moon Young-hak, the head of the Saudi-Korean Society for Economic and Trade Promotion, at NCVC’s office in Riyadh. The meeting was about working together with Korean companies and using new water treatment technology in Saudi Arabia’s national parks.

Many senior NCVC members joined the meeting. They talked about how Saudi Arabia has more than 400 national parks and how more people will visit them in the future. Because of this, it is very important to use water wisely. The new technology can help clean and reuse water for growing trees and making artificial lakes in the parks.

The Korean system uses modern computer technology to clean water better and faster. This method can double the amount of treated water by using old treatment plants instead of building new ones. It also costs only 30% of what it would take to build new plants and can be set up in just eight months. Another big benefit is that it can make treatment plants last 30 years longer, which means cleaner water, less waste, and better public health.

NCVC is always working to protect nature in Saudi Arabia. The center helps by fixing damaged land, saving plants and animals, taking care of rangelands and parks, stopping illegal logging, and keeping natural resources safe. By using new water technology and making partnerships with other countries, NCVC is helping Saudi Arabia become greener and more sustainable. These efforts will make life better for people and keep the environment safe for the future.
