Sharjah: With Eid Al Fitr coming soon, Sharjah has made a plan to manage transport, reduce traffic, and keep people safe during the holiday.
More Buses for Easy Travel
The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has announced that it will run over 7,000 intercity bus trips during the Eid holiday. To make travel faster, buses will arrive every five minutes during busy hours, instead of 45 minutes on normal days. This will help people avoid long waiting times and make traveling between emirates more comfortable.
Also, 12 public bus routes will run 1,144 trips each day, covering 546 stops with a total of 104 buses. The well-known Route 203 to Muscat will keep operating, allowing both residents and tourists to travel safely and easily.

Marine Trips for a Relaxing Ride
To give more travel choices, SRTA will also offer eight marine trips daily between Sharjah and Dubai. This will be a pleasant and less crowded way to travel during the busy holiday season.
Free Parking During Eid
Sharjah Municipality has announced that public parking will be free for the first three days of Eid, except in blue-signposted paid zones. These zones will still require payment, even on public holidays. Teams of inspectors will be on duty to stop any misuse of parking spaces and keep traffic moving smoothly.
Health and Safety Checks
To protect public health, 134 inspectors will check food shops, barbershops, and beauty salons, which usually get busier during Eid. Inspectors will work day and night to make sure these businesses follow proper health and safety rules.
Beach and Park Safety
To keep beaches and parks safe, 186 inspectors will monitor public areas. They will make sure that lifeguards are on duty and that people follow the rules. This will help create a safe and family-friendly environment.
Preparations for Eid Prayers
Sharjah has also made all the needed arrangements for Eid prayers. Mosques and prayer areas have been cleaned and sanitized. Pest control work has also been done. The city has prepared for the large number of worshippers expected in the morning.
Parks Ready for Families
Sharjah’s public parks are ready to welcome visitors during Eid. Families can enjoy peaceful and clean spaces to celebrate together. The municipality has also set up a 24/7 hotline (993) for people to call with any questions or complaints.
With these plans, Sharjah aims to make sure everyone enjoys a safe, comfortable, and happy Eid holiday.
