The Dubai International Sports Conference is organised under the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives. This conference, held alongside the Globe Soccer Dubai Awards, provides a platform for football’s biggest names to discuss and address important issues within the sport. Since its launch in 2010, the awards have become a prestigious event, bringing together football’s top players, clubs, and leaders to celebrate achievements on domestic, regional, and global levels.
This Year’s Theme: Talented Football
The main theme for this year’s conference is “Talented Football.” The event will be moderated by CNN’s Amanda Davis and co-hosted by Tom Urquhart. Ronaldo, Bellingham, and Courtois will serve as guest speakers, sharing their insights and experiences with the audience.
Awards and Recognition
Fifteen major awards will be presented during the ceremony, celebrating excellence in the sport. Categories include Best Men’s Player, Best Women’s Player, Best Men’s Club, Best Women’s Club, the Maradona Award, and five Career Awards. These awards highlight the achievements of players, coaches, and teams who have excelled at all levels of football.
Global Attention and Fan Involvement
The Globe Soccer Dubai Awards have captured the attention of football fans across the world. This year, a record-breaking 100 million votes were cast by fans from over 200 countries and territories, surpassing the previous record of 70 million votes. Additionally, the Globe Soccer mobile app has been downloaded more than two million times, showcasing the global popularity of the event.
Charity Contribution
The SIRO Golden Ticket Auction, held as part of the event, raised Dh30,000. All the proceeds from this auction will be donated to the Al Jalila Foundation, a healthcare organization committed to advancing medical research, education, and treatment.
The Dubai International Sports Conference and Globe Soccer Dubai Awards continue to celebrate football’s achievements while bringing together players, fans, and industry leaders to discuss the future of the sport.
