In another match, Uzbekistan advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Thailand 2-1 at Al Janoub Stadium. Azizbek Turgunboev opened the scoring, and Supachok Sarachat equalized for Thailand. Abbosbek Fayzullayev's goal secured Uzbekistan's victory, setting up a quarterfinal clash with host Qatar at Al Bayt Stadium on Saturday.
