The events, organized by the ADNEC Group with support from the Ministry of Defence and the Tawazun Council, will run until February 21st. These exhibitions, which happen every two years, are bringing together top companies and experts from around the world. They aim to showcase the latest technologies and solutions in defense, focusing on ways to improve global peace and security.
This year's event has grown significantly, with 1,565 companies from 65 different countries taking part. That's a 16% increase from the previous edition. The exhibition space itself has expanded by 10%, covering a total of 181,501 square meters. There are also 731 new companies this year, marking an impressive 82% rise in new participation.
For the first time, 41 national pavilions have been set up. Among the exhibitors, 213 are from the UAE, which makes up 16% of the total, while international companies account for 84%. Seven countries are joining the exhibition for the first time: Qatar, Ethiopia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, and Cyprus.
A new hall, Hall 14, has been added to the venue, which now features 341 companies. Additionally, a special section dedicated to CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive threats) has been introduced, with 38 companies from 13 countries taking part to raise awareness about these dangers.
The exhibition will showcase over 3,300 products and technologies, highlighting the important role that IDEX and NAVDEX play in supporting the defense sector. The events also help to increase the visibility and competitiveness of UAE-based companies in both regional and international markets.
This year’s event is also a great opportunity for start-ups, with over 156 new companies, making up 10% of the total exhibitors. These exhibitions truly represent cutting-edge defense technology and innovation.
