This dream is no longer just an idea; it’s now a reality. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation, the foundation has built a strong sports system for women. Today, more than 900 female athletes compete in 12 different sports across four sports clubs in Sharjah. These women are becoming symbols of strength, ambition, and excellence in sports.

The ‘Sharjah Women’ exhibition, part of the festival, celebrates the achievements of these women. Through powerful images, the exhibition shows the determination, hard work, and successes of Emirati women in sports, an area traditionally dominated by men. With the help of the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation and its leaders like Sheikha Jawaher, the sports sector in the UAE is changing in a big way. This change is even being felt globally, with the Paris Olympics being the most gender-equal event in history.
