His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, held a significant meeting with His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, who recently concluded his term as Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council (DSC). Al Tayer also serves as the Commissioner-General for Infrastructure, Urban Planning, and the Well-Being Pillar, as well as the Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan praised the pivotal role played by the Dubai Sports Council, under the leadership of Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the DSC. He acknowledged the Council's contributions to fostering a vibrant sports culture within the community and enhancing Dubai’s global sports stature, aligning with the vision outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the Council's significant impact on the emirate's economy by boosting the sports sector's contribution to Dubai's GDP.
