The leaders talked about smart transport and how it can improve travel. They discussed self-driving cars, boats, and planes. These new systems could make it easier to move people and goods around.
Sheikh Hamdan said it is important to have a clear plan to support smart systems in Abu Dhabi. He explained that understanding what businesses need will help bring partnerships and new companies to Abu Dhabi. This will create new jobs and help the economy grow.
He also said smart systems can make transport safer, faster, and better for the environment. These systems can help move goods and people by land, sea, and air. This will make Abu Dhabi a leader in green and smart transport and bring skilled workers to the city.
Sheikh Hamdan asked the council to make special programs to support companies working on smart systems and self-driving technology. These programs will help encourage new ideas and projects to improve transport. This is part of Abu Dhabi’s goal to become a hub for new technology and innovation.
The meeting also talked about how to make it easier to test smart systems. The leaders want to work with other groups to ensure testing is safe and follows all laws. These tests will support green transportation on land, sea, and air.
The meeting was attended by important officials, including Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai, Advisor to the President; Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport; Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development; Sultan Al Mutawa Al Dhaheri, Acting Office Director of the Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court; and Badr Saleem Sultan Al-Olama, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office.
