Foreign Minister Signs MoU with Singapore to Establish Strategic Partnership

Today, Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, met with Singapore’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, in Riyadh. They talked about ways to improve the friendship between their two countries and how to work together in different areas.

After their meeting, the two leaders signed an agreement to set up a new group called the Strategic Partnership Council. This group will help the two countries cooperate more in business, development, and other important areas. The trade between them reached $1 billion last year, and they hope to grow that number in the future.

Prince Faisal spoke to the press after the meeting. He said that this council would help both countries work together on many projects and would also support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 plan, which aims to improve the country’s economy. He also said that Singapore is a major financial center, and Saudi Arabia is looking forward to working more with Singapore to get more benefits for both nations.

The meeting showed that Saudi Arabia and Singapore are excited to keep building their relationship, growing their trade, and improving their teamwork for the future.
