Abu Dhabi: The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) has imposed a Dh50,000 fine on a fisherman at a fish landing site for exceeding the daily fishing limit. This action is part of the agency’s continuous efforts to protect marine life and ensure the sustainability of the region’s natural resources.

In a social media post, the EAD stated, “To protect marine resources and ensure their sustainability, the agency issued a Dh50,000 fine at one of Abu Dhabi fish landing sites for exceeding the daily fishing limit.”

The agency emphasized the importance of responsible fishing and urged recreational boat owners to follow fishing rules. By doing so, they can help maintain the ecological balance and ensure that marine species are not overexploited.
