Dubai-based Emirates airline has unveiled the initial destinations for its new A350 aircraft, which is set to commence service in September 2024. The A350 will primarily cater to short to medium-haul cities, with Bahrain being the first destination on its itinerary.
Emirates plans to introduce 10 new A350s to its fleet by March 31, 2025, with the aim of operating them on routes to nine destinations in the near future. These aircraft will feature three cabin classes, including 32 Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 259 Economy Class seats.

The airline intends to leverage the A350 to enhance its Premium Economy offering and introduce its next-generation Business Class cabins, particularly on routes across the Middle East and GCC, West Asia, and Europe.
Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Airline, emphasized the significance of the A350 in improving operational efficiency and flexibility across various regions. He highlighted the enhanced customer experience provided by the latest cabin products and in-flight entertainment technologies.
The rollout of the A350 will commence with flights to several destinations:
In the Middle East/GCC:
- The A350 will debut on the daily service to Bahrain (EK839/840) starting from September 15, with a second service to be added from November 1.
- Kuwait will welcome the A350 on the daily EK853/854 service from September 16.
- Muscat will see A350 service on the daily EK866/867 route from December 1.
In West Asia:
- Mumbai's EK502/503 service will transition to A350 operations from October 27.
- Ahmedabad's daily EK538/539 flight will be served by the A350 starting October 27.
- Colombo's fourth daily service (EK654/655) will be operated by the A350 from January 1, 2025.
In Europe:
- Lyon will receive daily A350 flights from December 1.
- Bologna will be served by the A350 starting December 1.
- Edinburgh will rejoin the Emirates network on November 4, operated by the A350.
Emirates plans to announce additional destinations as more A350 aircraft join its fleet. Tickets for flights to A350 destinations are now available for purchase.
