The boy is blamed for using secret chatting apps on the internet to talk to bad people who wanted others killed. The police say he worked with a dangerous crime group that does work in many countries.
While he was living in Sydney, Australia, the boy tried to find people who would kill others in Sweden and Denmark. Police believe he did this because of fights between gangs in those countries.
The boy was arrested at a house in western Sydney. The police got a paper from court to search the house. After the arrest, the boy was taken to a special court for children. He was not allowed to go free. His next court date is on June 11.
He was charged for using a phone or device to plan a murder and to help others plan a murder. These are very serious crimes. If found guilty, he could spend his life in prison.
Danish police also said in another message that the boy is from Sweden.
In the last few years, Sweden has had a lot of problems with gangs. There have been many shootings and bombings. Most of these crimes are done by gangs who are fighting with each other. Often, the people doing the crimes are very young—some are even younger than 15 years old. In Sweden, children under 15 cannot be sent to jail, so gangs use them to do bad work.
Some of this gang violence has even gone into nearby countries like Denmark and Norway. Because of this, police in different countries are now working together more closely.
