His Excellency Eng. Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Land Department (DLD), officially opened the 21st edition of the International Property Show (IPS 2025) today at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event will run until April 16 and features more than 300 exhibitors from 85 different countries. Over 25,000 visitors are expected to attend.

This year’s IPS is extra special because it shows how Dubai is becoming a major center for real estate investment. It also supports Dubai’s big plans for the future, which are focused on innovation and sustainability. IPS 2025 also matches the launch of the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033. This is a long-term plan created by the Dubai Government to make the real estate market more open, smart, and attractive for investors worldwide.

Real Support for the Real Estate Sector

While giving his opening speech, His Excellency said, “Dubai Land Department is proud to organize IPS as a strategic partner. It shows how we are working to support the real estate sector. IPS brings together top people and companies from around the world to share smart ideas and new technologies. These help us build better, more sustainable cities. The strong international presence shows trust in Dubai’s real estate market and supports our goals to make it more transparent and attractive.”

He also pointed out that IPS 2025 follows the goals of the Real Estate Strategy 2033. This shows Dubai’s aim to become one of the best and most future-ready places in the world for real estate investment.

A Shared Government Vision for Growth

The Dubai Land Department's booth at the show is designed to show how different government departments are working together to build a strong and smart real estate system. DLD is joined by the Dubai Municipality and Dubai Rental Disputes Center under one vision—to make the real estate sector grow smartly and sustainably.

At IPS 2025, DLD is presenting several new and important initiatives that support many of Dubai’s long-term plans, such as the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), the Social Agenda 33, and the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. These efforts aim to make Dubai the world’s top destination for property investors.

Some of the Key Initiatives at IPS 2025:

  • Real Estate i: A marketing plan that promotes Dubai’s real estate market globally with help from top developers.

  • She Pioneers: An initiative to increase the role of women in real estate and help them support sustainable growth.

  • Real Estate Tokenisation Project: A first-of-its-kind effort in the Middle East using blockchain to register properties.

  • Tayseer: Helps form property owners’ committees and increases transparency in shared buildings.

  • Tamkeen: A program to help and train young Emiratis to become future leaders in real estate.

  • Dubai Real Estate Broker Programme: A move to bring more Emiratis into the property brokerage field.

  • REIT (Real Estate Investment Trusts): A system to attract local and international funds to invest in Dubai real estate.

  • Freehold Ownership: Allows full property ownership for all nationalities on 457 plots on Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Jaddaf.
