Mahir Abdulkarim Julfar, Executive Vice President at DWTC, shared, “In 2025, DWTC continues to drive innovation and excellence, with a special focus on shaping the future of the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry. We aim to highlight both well-established and emerging sectors in a global business context. Our calendar is packed with transformative new events and flagship exhibitions like Arab Health, Gulfood, and Arabian Travel Market, which will be crucial in boosting Dubai's economic growth and encouraging business and trade. Aligned with the D33 Agenda, we are focused on strengthening Dubai’s role as a global business center and working towards our ambitious goal of doubling our event portfolio and tripling DWTC's economic impact by 2033.”

DWTC's extensive schedule for the first half of 2025 includes some of the most prominent trade and consumer events worldwide. One of the first events of the year is the Dubai International Pharmaceuticals and Technologies Conference and Exhibition (DUPHAT), which runs from January 7 to 9. This flagship event will bring together the global pharmaceutical industry for three days of networking, learning, and business development, showcasing pharmaceutical and manufacturing suppliers across the entire value chain.

Another important event, Intersec (January 14-16), will focus on safety, security, and fire protection, with a particular emphasis on emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, and IoT. It will bring together security professionals and agencies to explore solutions to global security challenges. From January 15 to 16, iFX Expo Dubai will gather top professionals from the online trading world, showcasing how online trading has evolved into a key global industry. Arab Health (January 27-30), marking its 50th edition, will continue to serve as the largest healthcare gathering in the region, bringing together policymakers, healthcare professionals, and tech innovators to address the world’s most pressing medical issues.

In February, World of Coffee (February 10-12) will return for its fourth edition, celebrating the booming coffee industry in MENA. With the coffee market in the region projected to grow significantly, this event will bring together key players from across the coffee value chain. Meanwhile, Gulfood (February 17-22), one of DWTC’s flagship events, will celebrate its 30th edition, bringing together over 5,000 companies and showcasing the latest innovations in the food and beverage industry. The event will feature new initiatives such as the Gulfood Green Awards, recognizing sustainability in the food sector, and the YouthX Young Chef Challenge, which highlights emerging culinary talent.

The Dubai International Horse Fair (March 17-19) will celebrate the region's equestrian culture and offer an opportunity for businesses in the equine industry to connect with breeders, owners, and enthusiasts. The World Art Dubai (April 17-20) event will showcase over 10,000 artworks from around the world, allowing collectors and art lovers to experience the creative and commercial side of the global art scene.

April will also feature Middle East Energy (April 7-9), a comprehensive energy exhibition and conference that serves as a major platform for energy leaders to meet and discuss the future of the industry. Arabian Travel Market (April 28-May 2) will gather global tourism professionals, helping drive the travel and tourism sector forward with key business meetings, networking opportunities, and the chance to showcase destinations and services.

In May, GISEC (May 16-18) will focus on cybersecurity, with a particular emphasis on AI-driven resilience. The event will be an important platform for government and business leaders to collaborate on creating solutions for cyber threats. The World Police Summit (May 13-15) will bring together law enforcement professionals to discuss innovations in policing and explore strategies for addressing evolving global security challenges. The CABSAT Middle East event (May 13-15) will highlight developments in the media, entertainment, and satellite technology sectors.

Seamless Middle East 2025 (May 20-22) will feature the latest in digital commerce, focusing on payments, fintech, retail, and e-commerce. The event will bring together over 750 exhibitors and 800 speakers to explore trends in digital innovation and transformation.

The final event of the first half of the year, Middle East Rail (June 24-25), will spotlight the future of rail transport and mobility in the region. This year’s edition is expected to be even more significant as it will be co-located with Mobility Live Middle East, reflecting the region’s push towards digitized rail systems and modern transport solutions.

Julfar concluded, "Our diverse event calendar for the first half of 2025 shows Dubai’s leadership as a destination for major international business events. By hosting these world-class events, we are not only driving Dubai’s economic growth but also shaping how business is conducted on a global scale.”
