Dubai Police have caught Othman El Ballouti, a Belgian citizen and one of the world’s most wanted criminals. He was wanted by INTERPOL and Europol for being involved in serious crimes like drug trafficking and organized crime across multiple countries.
How He Was Arrested
The arrest was made by Dubai Police’s General Department of Criminal Investigation, with help from the Ministry of Interior. Belgian authorities had sent an international arrest request for El Ballouti. This request was sent through the UAE Ministry of Justice, which handles such cases.

After receiving the request, Dubai Police acted quickly and arrested El Ballouti. He has now been handed over to Dubai Public Prosecution, which will manage the legal process to send him back to Belgium.
