The total cost of both phases is expected to be about AED400 million ($109 million). Phase One covers 275,000 square meters of land, with the beach varying from 30 to 90 meters wide at different points. One of the main parts of this phase is a 200-meter-long bridge that will help people cross the creek easily.
Phase One will also have a 300-meter-long beach for night swimming, designed to be accessible for people with special needs. There will also be a 5-kilometer walkway with running and cycling tracks along the beach, creating a fun and safe place for everyone.
Phase Two will focus on developing the beach along Al Mamzar Corniche. When both phases are finished by the end of this year, the beach will have 1,000 meters of paths for running, walking, and cycling. These paths will link Al Mamzar Creek Beach and Al Mamzar Park.
The design of the beach will be new and different for this region, with paths that go through both the beach and park areas. Visitors will get a special experience. There will also be lots of green spaces, designed beautifully.
Some of the important features in the project include a 5,000-square-meter area for events, a 2,000-square-meter area for skateboarding, play areas for children, and beach lounges. The project will make sure the beach is high-quality and also considers environmental concerns, especially climate change.
A special beach for women will also be part of the project. This beach will be 80 meters wide and will have its own entrance with a gate for privacy and safety. It will allow night swimming and will offer special services like a sports club, shops, and children’s play areas.
Bader Anwahi, the CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, said that this project is part of Dubai’s plan to create more modern and sustainable spaces. He added that the project would help Dubai stay a leader in many areas and help reach the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
The beach will also have toilets, changing rooms, and showers for everyone, including people with special needs. An administrative building will have a control room and a first aid center for safety.
Smart technology will be used to make sure everything is safe and runs smoothly. This includes cameras, tools to help with rescues, systems to manage crowds, and lockers for storing bags.
The development will also have three play areas for children, two areas for recreation, and spaces for barbecues and jet skiing. It will have eight toilet blocks, shower rooms, and 1,400 parking spaces for visitors.
Once finished, the Al Mamzar Beach Project will be a new and exciting place for both Dubai residents and visitors from all over the world. It will bring together beautiful beaches, parks, and modern facilities in one spot.
