The Dubai Press Club (DPC), along with the UAE Ministry of Economy, has started the first phase of the Dubai Content Creators Programme. This first part is called the Economic Content Creators Programme. It began on December 16, 2024, and will run until January 8, 2025. The three-week training teaches young media creators how to make simple and helpful economic content for websites and social media.
The program started with a session by His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy. He said that this kind of training is very important because it helps content creators share correct and clear economic information. He also said that people who create content need the right knowledge and tools to explain the changes happening in the economy.
His Excellency shared that the UAE is now one of the best places for media because it has a strong infrastructure, modern technology, and simple rules for companies. He said, "The Ministry of Economy knows how important it is to share correct economic information. This will help content creators make content that builds economic knowledge and benefits people. We are happy to work with content creators and give them trusted information."
He also said the program shows the strong teamwork between the Ministry of Economy and the Dubai Media Council. “This is a step forward in bringing new ideas and helping the media sector stay up-to-date with economic changes. Content creators are very important because they can show the UAE’s growth and share important information about our economy with everyone,” he explained.
Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, President of Dubai Press Club, thanked the Ministry of Economy for supporting this program. She also thanked His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri and his team for making this program successful. She said that creating content about economic topics helps people learn more about managing money and understanding how the economy works.
“Economic content helps people understand things like saving money, making investments, and government policies. This knowledge builds stronger and smarter communities. Right now, we need good and reliable economic information more than ever. The world is facing many challenges like rising prices, fast-changing markets, and new technologies,” Mona Al Marri said.
She explained that the program teaches creators how to make economic topics simple and clear. They will learn how to explain difficult topics in a way that everyone can understand. They will also learn how to find trusted information and share it in a way that connects with people.
The Economic Content Creators Programme also teaches how to use modern technology to improve content. For example, participants will learn how to use tools like artificial intelligence to create better visuals. They will also learn how to manage data and how to make content that attracts and connects with their audiences. The training shows how creators can balance popular trends with useful and important facts.
Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club, said that choosing economics as the first topic shows Dubai’s role as a strong global economy. “Dubai wants to become one of the top three cities in the world for economic growth by 2033. This program shows how important media and content creators are in sharing Dubai’s success. They help tell Dubai’s story about growth in trade, tourism, and investment,” she said.
The training includes many classes and workshops led by top economic experts and media organizations. Participants will learn about important topics like how strong economies work, how to tell real economic facts from myths, and how to use tools like AI to make visuals. They will also learn how to explain economic topics in a simple way that everyone can understand.
Mahfoudha Abdullah, Specialist for Media Talent Development at Dubai Press Club, said the program will help participants understand how to make difficult economic topics easy. “The training teaches content creators how to create content that is simple, interesting, and trusted by everyone who sees it,” she said.
The Dubai Content Creators Programme is part of the Dubai Press Club’s plan to support young media creators. By giving them the right skills and knowledge, the program helps Dubai achieve its goal of being a world leader in both economic growth and media excellence.
