Cairo Ready to Strengthen Cultural Ties and Cooperation with Riyadh

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud, on Tuesday in Cairo. The meeting was also attended by Egypt’s Minister of Culture Ahmed Fouad Heno, Saudi Minister Essam bin Saeed, and the Saudi Ambassador to Cairo, Saleh bin Eid Al-Husseini.

During the meeting, the Saudi Minister shared greetings from the King and Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia with President Sisi. President Sisi thanked the Minister for the greetings and said Egypt is proud of its close and strong friendship with Saudi Arabia, especially in the fields of arts and culture.

President Sisi also wished Saudi Arabia success in hosting its upcoming cultural events and sports competitions. He congratulated the Kingdom for winning the rights to host the FIFA World Cup in 2034. President Sisi praised Saudi Arabia for its recent work and progress in culture, tourism, and arts.

President Sisi said that Egypt is ready to join hands with Saudi Arabia on projects related to arts, literature, and preserving cultural heritage. He also mentioned that Egypt has a strong and long cultural history and the needed experience to support these projects.

The Saudi Minister spoke about how the relationship between Egypt and Saudi Arabia is special and strong. He said that Saudi Arabia has great respect for Egyptian arts and culture and wants to work with Egypt on many shared projects.

The Minister added that both countries are working closely together to strengthen their cultural efforts. This cooperation will help both nations share ideas and strengthen their bonds through arts and culture.
