China AI Expo 2025 Highlights Smart Tech & Robotics

Hangzhou, China – The Global Digital Trade Expo in China is spotlighting artificial intelligence this year, with the event running until September 29. The expo features a dedicated AI pavilion presenting advanced computing, large AI models, robotics, and over 100 applications across health, education, culture, entertainment, transport, and construction.

Rokid, a leading augmented reality glasses company, drew significant attention with its new smart glasses, which provide instant translation, imaging, and navigation. The devices sold more than 40,000 units within five days of their September launch.

Hangzhou CloudGlab Technology showcased robotic guide dogs, educational models for children, and security-awareness units. Meanwhile, MicroPort MedBot introduced the Toumai SP Laparoscopic Surgical Robot, the first fully Chinese-developed system for thoracic and abdominal procedures. The robot features flexible arms and 3D imaging, designed to reduce operating times and improve patient outcomes.

Other highlights at the expo included Unitree’s boxing robots, lunar surface simulation experiences with space suits, and interactive robots. Attendees also enjoyed music performances and field services carried out by smart robots.

The Global Digital Trade Expo continues to underline China’s advancements in artificial intelligence, emphasizing practical applications that are shaping industries and daily life. The event will remain open to visitors until September 29.
