Chelsea target permanent Jadon Sancho move despite cancel clause

Chelsea still wants to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United, even though there is a rule in the deal that lets them cancel it if they pay £5 million ($6.4 million). Reports say that Chelsea plans to keep him after his loan ends.

Sancho joined Chelsea last summer on loan. The deal said Chelsea must buy him for £25 million. At first, he played well, but later, his form dropped. He has scored only two goals this season and has not scored since December. Chelsea is trying to qualify for next season’s Champions League, but Sancho has not been a regular in coach Enzo Maresca’s team.

Even though he is not playing his best, Chelsea still wants to buy him. The club believes he can play as well as he did when he helped Borussia Dortmund reach the Champions League final. Coach Maresca has praised Sancho and said he is happy with his progress.

Sancho left Manchester United after a big problem with manager Erik ten Hag last season. They argued, and Sancho was not allowed to play for the team. He then went to Borussia Dortmund on loan.

Chelsea is also looking at other players. In January, they were interested in Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho. Even if Chelsea buys Sancho, they may still want to add more players in his position.
