California plane crash kills 2, injures 18 in tragic accident

On Thursday in southern California, where two people lost their lives in a tragic plane crash, 18 others were injured. The small plane crashed through the roof of a large furniture manufacturing building in Fullerton, which had around 200 workers inside at the time. According to the Associated Press (AP), local police have confirmed the accident, though they have not yet recognized the quarry or confirmed whether they were in the plane or on the ground.

The plane had just taken off from Fullerton Municipal Airport, located only about six miles from Disneyland when it crashed. The crash happened less than two minutes after takeoff, as reported by FlightAware, a flight-tracking website.

Emergency teams, including firefighters and police officers, responded quickly to the scene. They worked to put out the fire caused by the crash and helped evacuate nearby businesses. Out of the 18 injured, 10 were rushed to the hospital, while eight others received treatment at the scene and were later released.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) identified the aircraft as a single-engine Van’s RV-10, which is a four-seat plane. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has started an investigation into the cause of the crash. Authorities are still working to gather more details about what happened and the identities of those involved in this heartbreaking incident.
