A Celebration of Culture and Community
The competition is part of the ‘Year of the Community’ initiative, which aims to keep cultural traditions alive and strengthen relationships between people. It encourages families to take part in a fun and meaningful activity while also celebrating Ramadan in a special way.
Shaima Al Suwaidi, the Director of Brand Dubai, said, "Dubai is a city full of creative and talented people. Ramadan is a time for families and communities to come together, and this competition gives everyone a chance to make their homes look festive. When people decorate their houses with lights and decorations, they make their neighborhoods look more beautiful and spread happiness across the city."
How to Enter the Competition
The competition is open only to people who live in Dubai.
Homes must be decorated with lights and other festive decorations. The official #RamadanInDubai logo can also be used in the design.
Participants must make a creative video showing their decorated home. The video should match the theme of the ‘Year of the Community.’
The video must be uploaded as an Instagram Reel on the participant’s public Instagram account.
The post should tag @branddubai and @ferjan.dubai.
The official hashtag #Dubai’s_Best_Decorated_Ramadan_Homes_2025 should be included in the post.
The last date to submit entries is March 21.
A panel of judges will select the winners based on creativity and how beautiful the decorations look. To ensure fair competition, no two winners will be selected from the same neighborhood.
Bringing Neighbors Closer Together
Ferjan Dubai, an organization known for encouraging community activities, believes that this competition is a great way to bring people together. Aliya Al Shamlan, CEO of Ferjan Dubai, said, "This contest will make neighborhoods look lively and festive during Ramadan. Since 2025 has been declared as the ‘Year of the Community,’ we want to show how traditions help bring people closer. Decorating homes is not just about making them look good, but also about expressing creativity, feeling proud of one’s home, and spreading happiness across the city."
Sarah Merdas, a member of the #RamadanInDubai campaign team, added, "This initiative highlights the creativity and strong community spirit of Dubai. By decorating their homes, people contribute to a joyful atmosphere in the city and create special memories with their families and neighbors."
A Growing Tradition in Dubai
This is the second year of the #RamadanInDubai campaign, which is led by Brand Dubai in partnership with government and private organizations. The campaign aims to make Dubai’s Ramadan celebrations more colorful and joyful, promoting the spirit of togetherness and festivity during this special time of the year.
