Bank of Sharjah Leads $155M Loan for Daewoo Engineering as Arranger, Bookrunner

Bank of Sharjah has announced that it played a key role as the Mandated Lead Arranger and Bookrunner for a US$155 million Club Loan Facility provided to Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co Ltd.

This loan, which will last for three years, was arranged with the support of other regional banks. The funds from this facility will be used to meet Daewoo's general corporate needs, including working capital for its ongoing projects around the world.

Mohamed Khadiri, the CEO of Bank of Sharjah, shared his thoughts on the achievement. He said, "This success shows our commitment to supporting large international contractors. We aim to provide customized financial solutions that help companies grow beyond their home countries."

Haisam Mustafa, who leads the bank's International & Financial Institutions division, also spoke about the significance of the transaction. He stated, "This deal adds to our strong record of offering financial advice and services to major multinational companies across the globe."

The collaboration between the Bank of Sharjah and Daewoo Engineering highlights the bank's ongoing efforts to build strong partnerships with international firms and support global business growth through reliable financial services.
