NAVDEX 2025 will be held alongside the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and is organized by ADNEC Group in partnership with the Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council. The event is under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
This year, the exhibition will showcase a remarkable display of naval fleets from eight countries. These include the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, Greece, South Korea, and India. These nations will present their advanced maritime technologies and share insights into the future of naval defense.
Commodore Rashed Ibrahim Rashed Al-Muhaisni, Chairman of the NAVDEX Maritime Committee, expressed pride in Abu Dhabi becoming a central meeting point for global defense leaders. "We take great pride in being the global focal point for thousands of high-profile figures and decision-makers from around the world, all gathering to participate in IDEX and NAVDEX," he said.
He added that NAVDEX 2025 is set to be the biggest and most remarkable edition since the exhibition began. The event will feature the launch of several warships for the UAE Armed Forces, along with 21 vessels from friendly and allied nations. Some of these vessels are newly manufactured, demonstrating the impressive advancements made by the Emirati defense industry.
Visitors will witness live demonstrations of various vessels, both large and small, at the ADNEC Marina and Mina Zayed. The event will offer a closer look at the latest naval technologies and their real-world applications.
Saeed Al Mansoori, Defence Events Advisor at ADNEC Group, highlighted the significance of NAVDEX 2025. "The current edition of NAVDEX has become a leading platform for showcasing the latest innovations in naval defense and security," he said. He emphasized that the growth in exhibition space, the increased number of participating companies, and the display of cutting-edge technologies underscore Abu Dhabi’s growing importance in the global defense industry.
As part of the event, the first group of naval vessels has already arrived, passing through the waterway to reach ADNEC Marina. Meanwhile, Mina Zayed has also received several vessels that will participate in the exhibition. This international presence demonstrates the event's global reach and importance.
NAVDEX 2025 will not only showcase impressive ships but also serve as a platform for collaboration and learning. The event will feature NAVDEX Talks, a series of discussions and presentations led by industry experts. These sessions will explore new trends, share case studies, and present the latest advancements in maritime defense.
A special highlight of the exhibition is the waterborne display area, where vessels will be moored at floating docks. Visitors will have the chance to see these ships up close and observe their capabilities during live demonstrations. From the grandstand overlooking the waterfront, guests can enjoy an engaging and educational experience.
NAVDEX 2025 is set to bring together leaders, innovators, and decision-makers from the maritime defense sector. The event will provide a valuable platform for networking, sharing knowledge, and shaping the future of naval security. With its impressive lineup of ships, cutting-edge technology, and informative sessions, NAVDEX 2025 promises to be an event of global significance and a proud moment for Abu Dhabi on the international stage.
