Abu Dhabi Hospital Launches New Emergency Department in UAE

A prominent tertiary care hospital in Al Ain has inaugurated a fully equipped emergency department to address the community's healthcare needs. Burjeel Royal Hospital, Al Ain, received official approval from the Department of Health (DoH) – Abu Dhabi to provide round-the-clock emergency care services. Dr. Saleh Fares Al Ali, the executive director of the Centre for Emergency Preparedness and Response at the DoH, emphasized the collaboration with the hospital to enhance community health services.

The 25-bed emergency department is led by a team of experienced emergency and trauma care specialists, including certified physicians, nurses, and support staff. The facility aims to provide comprehensive care for adult and pediatric patients facing various medical and surgical emergencies. John Sunil, the group CEO of Burjeel Holdings, highlighted the commitment to delivering advanced care and technology.

The inauguration ceremony, attended by officials including Dr. Al Ali, John, and Al Ain City Municipality's general manager, marked the significant addition to emergency healthcare services for Al Ain residents. The department, supported by hospital specialists in various fields, is equipped with cutting-edge medical technology. Dr. Zuhair Alsharafi, corporate director of emergency services at Burjeel Holdings, emphasized the goal of swift, efficient, and accurate emergency care.

The emergency department license expands the hospital's capabilities to meet urgent medical needs in the Al Ain region, handling a range of cases from minor trauma to life-threatening situations. Dr. Zia Danesh Jummani, the head of the department and consultant in emergency medicine, highlighted the hospital's strategic location for improved accessibility to critical healthcare services in the Central District of Al Ain
