A tragic road accident in Mali claimed the lives of at least 14 people and left 29 others injured when a bus and a truck collided early Thursday morning. According to a statement from Mali's transport ministry, the collision occurred around 6:00 am (0600 GMT) on a major road near the town of Fana, located east of the capital, Bamako.

The bus involved in the crash was departing from Fana, heading toward Bamako, while the truck was traveling in the opposite direction. Although the ministry confirmed the basic details of the incident, further specifics about the cause of the crash were not immediately provided.
