The flights will begin on August 2. Wizz Air will run seven flights each week. The airline will use A321 XLR planes, which can carry 239 passengers. This will provide 173,992 low-cost seats for travelers every year.
Majid Khan, CEO of the Air Connectivity Program, said that this new flight route will help bring more tourists from the UK to Saudi Arabia. He explained that Madinah has a rich history and is located in a good place for visitors who want to explore different cities in the country.
Eng. Sufyan Sabbah, CEO of Taiba Airports Operation Company, welcomed the new flights. He said that this will improve travel options and give passengers a smooth and easy journey. He also said that adding more flights to European countries is an important part of the airport’s growth plans.
Madinah is becoming more popular among travelers worldwide. In 2024, it was named the best tourist city in Saudi Arabia and one of the top 100 travel destinations in the world. These new flights will make it easier for people to visit Madinah and help it grow as a major travel hub.
