Dubai, UAE – Lumber World, a name synonymous with excellence in the building materials industry, is making headlines again at Woodshow 2024, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Established 17 years ago by a visionary trio of entrepreneurs - Jayesh Radhakrishnan, Mohandas Vilakkumadathil, and Abdul Rahiman Aliyar, Lumber World has evolved from a humble timber trader to a comprehensive supplier of building materials, all while maintaining a steadfast commitment to environmental sustainability and community development.
In an exclusive interview with DXB News Network, Mr. Jayesh Radhakrishnan shared the company's journey, stating, "We started as timber traders, fulfilling the wood requirements in the UAE and Oman. Over the years, we have expanded our presence to the Sultanate of Oman with various products." Mr. Mohandas added, "We began as wholesale timber traders and have now entered the retail sector with 9 retail centers here and in Oman. We are also expanding to Saudi Arabia in May."
Lumber World's product portfolio includes Berry Melamine MDF, plywood, chipboard, Kajaria laminates, gypsum, hardware & tools, aluminum composite panels, electrical & sanitary wares, and acrylic sheets. The company has recently taken distributorship of SEG and a Thai company manufacturing cement boards and other products, and they are soon launching sanitary and laminate brands.
Abdul Rahiman Aliyar highlighted the company's dedication to green initiatives, "We are not just profit-driven; we are pilgrims on this planet, committed to sustainability and empowering local communities." The company sources a significant portion of its materials from within the UAE, supporting local businesses and fostering symbiotic partnerships.
As Lumber World continues to build on its legacy of quality, innovation, and sustainability, the company remains a beacon of progress in the Middle East's construction industry. With a clear vision and a dedicated team, Lumber World is poised to rewrite the future of construction, one board at a time.
