The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has taken Abdul Rahman Al Qaradawi into custody after he was handed over by Lebanese authorities. This action was based on a provisional arrest warrant issued by the General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers' Council - Criminal Investigation and Data Bureau. The warrant was requested by UAE authorities due to charges against Qaradawi for engaging in activities that aim to disrupt and undermine public security.

The extradition followed a formal request made by the UAE’s Ministry of Justice to Lebanon’s Central Authority. This process was carried out under the principle of reciprocity and in line with the legal procedures and regulations of both countries.
