SuperGrok free for students with .edu email – Musk

Elon Musk said on X (the app before called Twitter) that students can use SuperGrok for free. But there are some small rules they must follow.

A worker at xAI, named Arno Gau, said more about this in his post. He said students can get SuperGrok free for two months, but only if they sign in using an email that ends with ".edu". This kind of email is given by schools and colleges in the USA only. So, if a student is not from the USA — like from India — they may not be able to use this free offer right now.

But don’t worry. Arno also said they will soon add email support for schools in other countries too. That means students from India and other places will also be able to join soon.

Some students who do have the .edu email are also having problems signing up. If you are facing the same, Arno said you should ask xAI help team to fix it.

SuperGrok is a special chatbot that answers your questions and helps with hard work like writing code, studying science, or searching for things online. It is part of a paid plan, but now students can try it free.

It’s like X Premium+, which is another paid plan. But with SuperGrok, you only get Grok, not the other features that come with X Premium+. So it’s good for people who only want Grok, not everything else.

SuperGrok lets you ask more questions. You can ask up to 100 questions a day. The Premium+ plan gives only 50, and the free version gives only 20.

Also, SuperGrok gives 30 chances to use two extra tools called Deepsearch and Think. These help you look deeper into things. After using all your chances, the app waits for 2 hours before you can use it again. That’s better than the free version, which waits for 24 hours.

In India, SuperGrok costs ₹700 every month, or ₹6,500 every year. If you buy X Premium+, it is much more costly — ₹2,861.67 every month, or ₹34,340 for one year.

So, if you are a student and you want to try Grok, this is a good time. You may get it free for two months if you have the right email. And even if you don’t, they are working to make it available in other countries too.
