New 'Star Wars' Movie with Ryan Gosling Set for 2027

A new Star Wars movie will come to cinemas in May 2027, and famous actor Ryan Gosling will be the main star. The movie is called Star Wars: Starfighter. This was shared by Lucasfilm, the company that makes Star Wars movies.

The story of Starfighter will happen five years after the events in the last movie, The Rise of Skywalker, which came out in 2019.

The movie will be directed by Shawn Levy, who also directed Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) and episodes of the TV show Stranger Things. The movie will start filming later this year.

Ryan Gosling has been nominated for three big film awards (called the Oscars). People loved his acting as Ken in the 2023 movie Barbie.
