UAE, Chad Sign Agreement for Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Hospital in N'Djamena

As directed by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and with support from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, the UAE Aid Agency and the Government of Chad have signed an agreement to build a hospital and a dialysis center in the capital, N'Djamena.

The agreement was signed in front of several important leaders, including His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Families of Fallen Heroes, and Chairman of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council. Other important officials present included Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State and Chairman of the Health Advisory Committee for International Development, and Mansour Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, and Tahir Hamid Nguilin, Minister of Finance and Budget for Chad. This deal outlines plans to build and run the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Hospital in N'Djamena on land provided by the government of Chad. The hospital will cover 11,300 square meters. Of this, 9,500 square meters will be for the hospital building, and 1,800 square meters will be for housing medical staff. There will also be 4,200 square meters dedicated to a dialysis center with the latest medical equipment.

Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan said that this hospital and dialysis center are part of the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who dedicated his life to helping others. He also said that this agreement shows how the UAE is continuing to help improve healthcare in underserved areas around the world, especially in Africa.

Sheikh Shakhboot added that the agreement reflects the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to improve healthcare around the world, especially in Africa. This is also in line with the UAE's goal of helping countries in need and supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri said that this agreement shows the UAE’s strong commitment to helping people and improving living conditions worldwide. He also mentioned that the UAE Aid Agency will continue its important work in providing support to countries in need and working with the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council to make a real difference.

The Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Hospital will have 11 different clinics, including ones for children, women’s health, teeth, bones, eyes, ears, skin, internal medicine, heart health, and general health. The hospital will have 100 beds, three operating rooms, and three delivery rooms. It will help more than 1.7 million people. The dialysis center will have 80 beds and provide treatment to about 9% of the people in the capital, N'Djamena.

Tahir Hamid Nguilin, Chad’s Minister of Finance, expressed thanks to the UAE and the UAE Aid Agency for building and running the hospital and dialysis center. He said that this project will improve medical services in the capital and help the country grow. It will also create jobs and support the local economy by providing services like transportation, food, and other needs.

This hospital and dialysis center will be a big help for Chad, and it shows the UAE’s commitment to helping other countries in need. This project will make it easier for people in Chad to get the healthcare they need and show the UAE’s ongoing efforts to support people around the world.
